Learning things
the hard way. Overcoming obstacles that seem too intimidating to even attempt
in the first place. Discovering the power of prayer and reflecting on God’s
goodness. Feeling empty when the rest of world is overflowing. Enjoying the
moments that are filled with adventure, friendship, and hope.
Here are 10 things I'd like to share from my life experiences:
#1 – Knowing
yourself allows you to ultimately feel comfortable in your own skin. You may
not be like everyone else, but that is the true beauty of being you.
#2 – Discovering
music that speaks to you can change everything. In times where nothing else
seems to make sense, a song can speak the truths you’ve been waiting to hear.
#3 – Leadership
is not exclusive to extroverts. An introvert may not carry the same level of
confidence at first, but they are never lacking in leadership due to their
personality alone.
#4 – Prayers aren’t
limited by a deadline. Often times it isn’t until after you’ve left your plea in
his hands that you realize God reveals his promises in his own impeccable
timing.
#5 – Fellow
nerds and geeks will be some of the coolest friends you’ll ever meet.
(“Friendship is
born at that moment when one person says to another: “What! You too? I thought
I was the only one.” – C.S. Lewis)
#6 – Everyone
has a story to share, but not everyone chooses to listen. Be open to the
rewarding opportunity of allowing others to be heard.
#7 – Time,
distance, and differences will test friendships; the ones who stay standing beside
you through it all are worth the trials life brings along the way.
#8 – Laughter is
lovely. People who make you laugh are by far the best company.
#9 – The desire
to take part in an adventure may come at an unexpected time, be ready to accept
the challenge head on and enjoy the ride.
#10 – God is always at work in the little things. Taking a step back allows you to view all the ways in which he kept working in the midst of your uncertainty and doubt. It is humbling and beautiful all at once.
